Ready for Turkish GP
Hey everyone!

I have just finished packing all my riding kit for the Turkish GP this weekend. Can you believe it is already the 3rd GP !

I am sure you guys all know the season kicked off two weeks ago in Italy. The track and weather were really good all day Saturday for training and qualifying. It started to rain Saturday evening and just did not stop which turned the track into a massive mud bath.
I managed to finish 13th after getting stuck about 6 times. I was really happy because I finished the race. So many riders got stuck and burnt their clutches out and could not finish. It was not really a race but more survival of the luckieststrongest. It was quite entertaining at times when I kept seeing the same riders getting stuck at different points of the track. Some riders were even speaking to each other about how ridiculous it was…The 2nd heat was cancelled thank goodness.

Last weekend was far better in Bulgaria. The track was really prepped well and the weather absolutely perfect. I felt a lot more comfortable and it feels like I am riding the 450 better every weekend.
I seem to still not be able to attack so hard the 1st 2 laps so when I got a pretty decent start the 1st race I tried to attack straight away but ended up jumping too far to the left on a 25meter table top and landed on the hay bayles and flew straight over the bars down into a pretty big ditch. I hit my head a bit and got a big fright but I was so lucky to not get injured. My bike took a lot of the field down. Nobody was hurt so that was a good thing. I chose not to finish the race because I was so far behind the field so saved some energy for the 2nd heat.
It paid off because I got a terrible start and was right near the rear end of the field. I did not panic and started to work my way through the field and managed to get right up to 10th by the end of the race. I was happy with that and now I know that my speed is good enough to run well in the top 10 once I start getting better starts.(starting from this weekend)

I am now lying 12th in the championship and hoping to be top 10 after this weekend.
I have a very welcomed weekend off next week and the Valkenswaard which is one of my favourite GP’s and its only 15 minutes up the road.

Will let you know how it goes

Till next time keep giving it horns
