3 races into the GP season
Hi Everyone

Well we are three races into the GP season and I have to say so far it’s been tough. The season kicked off in Bulgaria and the track and weather were just fantastic. I qualified 8th which I was happy with but my starts let me down on race day. The 1st race I got out the gate around 11th but took a while to get going and lost a few places.

Ready for GP 1 - Bulgaria
Hi Everyone

I am back home in Belgium, the land of the sandy tracks and endless bicycle paths. It is my last week of heavy training and prep before the first Grand Prix, next week in Bulgaria. I am really looking forward to it!

Preparing for the first race of 2010
Hi everyone

As I write this I am in England at my team manager’s house watching Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. We have been out riding today in Wales, which is about 270km from where we are staying. It was snowing here when we got up this morning so it was the only dry place and it is right out by the sea. It was extremely rough and a very short 45-second lap time so it was a tough day at the office really.

Looking forward to 2010 racing season
Hi Everyone

All the best for 2010, its going to be a great year! Can you believe we are already in February. So far the year has gone well. My program has been extremely intense and we have changed it up and added some things to the program, which I feel positive about. I have taken advantage of the good South African weather, which has allowed me to spend a lot of time on the bike. I am in South Africa for another two weeks then I am heading back to Europe for the start of the season.

Ready for Turkish GP
I have just finished packing all my riding kit for the Turkish GP this weekend. Can you believe it is already the 3rd GP !

I am sure you guys all know the season kicked off two weeks ago in Italy. The track and weather were really good all day Saturday for training and qualifying. It started to rain Saturday evening and just did not stop which turned the track into a massive mud bath.

Merry Christmas!
Can you believe it’s already that time of the year. My year has not been the best as you all know but that’s only with the motocross side. I managed to buy my 1st house and it’s in Belgium. So even though I did not race much I still managed to take another step forward in life.

Back in South Africa
Hi everyone,

I am back home in South Africa spending some time with my family and catching up with some friends. I have been home for 2 weeks now and it’s been great. I have started to up my training program and I spend a lot of time on the spinning bike and stepper machine, as well as some power training in the gym. I have been training 6 days a week so that keeps me quite busy.

Injury update
Hi everyone.

It’s been 3 weeks since I had my wrist operated on. It has been an on going problem since I first had it operated on 2 years ago. The problem is that I broke a small bone just above my thumb called the scaphoid and unfortunately there is a shortage of blood supply in that specific part of your body which makes it difficult for the bone to heal.

It's been a really long time!
Hi everyone

Its been a really long time since I have last written a diary(almost a year). I am really sorry about that but to be honest I really don’t like computers so I don’t spend a lot of time on them.

Flying helicopters and driving 40 ton trucks!
Hi everyone

Well a lot has happened in the last few weeks ...the strength test on my shoulder went really well so I was cleared to ride. I managed to have a fitness test the day after and that went well too. So I was excited to get back on the bike full time knowing my shoulder is strong and my fitness is good. I rode a couple of times before we drove down to Richards bay for a riding school.

Back in SA
Hi everyone,

Sorry for taking such a long time to update my diary. So much has happened the last few months. I am sure you guys know I had a pretty major shoulder operation after dislocating my left shoulder in a start crash at the last round of the British championship

Recovering from Loket
Well I did not have the greatest gp last weekend. I had a big fall in pre qualifying. I was quite lucky to not get hurt and I managed to get up and still have an ok GP. I must be honest Loket has not been kind to me the last 2 years and I went to the GP hoping to get on the box but it was not to be

A hectic schedule so far.
Things have really been up and down the last few months. I had a good day in Japan. I really like that track and wanted to do well there seeing as I am on a Japanese bike. It’s one of the toughest GP’s with the jetlag coming into play.
